Journal
This was my debut cas experience and my first cas activity. We were
informed by our CAS coordinator Mr. Rolf Swaminathan that we were going to
perform our activity in front of the whole school for the Republic Day. He took us to the grounds where our sports'
coach made us neatly line up into 4 rows and we were told that we will be
performing sports drill which is a set of exercises.
For nearly, we took up to 2
hours because we need to do with full of coordination and timing should be
proper since we were practicing for first time we did some errors too.
In second class we
practiced the same sports drill and after these exercises some of our
classmates joined the yoga asanas which was to be performed after our sports
drill. Following the activity both the us (boys) and girls did something
peculiar called the collapsing pyramid. Within the 5 drum beats, we managed to
climb and then collapse on one another and at the back of us girls, who also
managed to do the same.
At 27th January where we performed these activities in
front of the whole school, I was a bit nervous before the activity but still I
made it in fact we (whole class) made it.
We accomplished 3
different activities which include:
- Free
hand exercise
- Yoga
- Group
formation.
Reflection
My debut CAS activity was not
only full of fun we learned something very useful and an amazing learning
experience for me. By performing in front of the whole school, I got some
confidence in me that I can do everything. While practicing the sports drill we
were able gain or learn some patience and coordination between our friends and
classmates. This activity became more important
as we were struggling to do this simple activity but, it requires lot of
patience and coordination that's what I learned. Everybody should coordinate
for this activity so, I gave my full concentration over it and we should make
sure that everybody are with the perfect timing because even if one goes wrong
the activity will be collapsed. Next was the yoga but I didn't take part in the
activity as they told only hostel students should to take part.
Then next came the collapsing
pyramid which was the hardest part and it was a different experience for me. By
climbing on top of my peers, I was able to make sure of my level of trust on
them and my own abilities.
I am very happy about my
performance in the celebration and mainly in the practices where I learned so
many things which were very useful and very fascinating.

Super!!!
