Reflection:
Kho-kho and Kabaddi have been in our state from a long time ago. And today we unleashed the past by relishing the memory of those games. Yes, our class as whole played together under the guidance of Mr. Sounder.
They
used the chalk to draw the boundaries as the ground was split into two halves.
Then the coaches started to explain the rules and regulations of the game.
There were two teams consisting of 7 players and first they picked me as a
captain of one team and the other was Abhinav and they started to divide us and
then match started. One person from each team, known as the raider who would go
to the other side to tag the opposing players and come back to their side
without being tackled from the other team while doing this u should stop saying
the word “Kabaddi” and must not move out of the lines that the coached drew and
we will gain one point per player. First ourselves the boys played the game and
it was full of aggression and also we need to coordinate with each team member
to catch the raider who comes from the other team. Our team won the game
because we had coordination in the team and it was great experience for me.
Then
we had the next game kho kho and the coaches started to explain about this game
and demonstrated it. This game is played by 12 players who are kneeling down in
opposite directions and they should try to avoid being touched by the members
of the opposing team and the catcher must only go in one direction to touch the
other team player and this game requires speed rather than aggressiveness like Kabaddi.
Our class girls liked this game more than Kabaddi but we the boys liked Kabaddi.
These
two games gave me some knowledge about the Indian culture and it was a great
experience for me.
